CITATION & REPUBLICATION

All of the content featured on DataReportal.com is the intellectual property of Kepios Pte. Ltd., and is protected by copyright.

If you’d like to feature our data or reports on your own website or blog, the best approach is to re-embed our original report embeds (i.e. the report embeds you’ll find on this website).

You’re also welcome to republish individual pages from our reports, provided at all times that your use of such content represents ‘fair dealing’ as defined by Singapore law, and that you adhere to the following terms and conditions:

  1. You must not charge people for access to the content (please see the section titled “Inclusion in paid titles” below if you’d like to include data, charts, insights, or analysis from any of our reports as part of paid publications, products, or services);

  2. You must republish each relevant page in its entirety and in its original design, including all dates, titles, flags, labels, data sources, footnotes, and brand logos;

  3. You must not intentionally misrepresent or distort any of the data or analyses;

  4. You must include clear attribution to DataReportal and the report partner(s) detailed on page 2 of the relevant source report(s); and

  5. You must include a clear URL or hyperlink to the relevant report page on DataReportal.com.

In all cases, please email us if you’d like to republish or recreate ten or more pages or charts from any of our reports, or if you’d like to republish any of the content in our analysis articles or blog posts.

Inclusion in paid titles

Please note that we charge a fee to process requests to reuse our materials in publications where readers must pay to access the content (e.g. textbooks and market reports).

If you’d like to reuse any of our materials in a paid publication, please email us with the following details:

  1. Your publication’s title, its author(s), the planned publication year, and the recommended retail price (RRP);

  2. A brief description of the DataReportal content you’d like to include, and how it will appear in your publication;

  3. Where relevant, a screen-grab of each chart you’d like to reuse – ensuring that the date, chart title, and page number are all visible in each screen-grab – together with the following details to assist in correct identification:

    • Our report’s title, as detailed on the cover of the relevant report;

    • The URL (web address) of our report as it appears on the DataReportal website;

    • The page number(s) on which the chart(s) you’d like to feature appear(s) in the relevant report(s).

  4. The name and email address of the person to whom we should send the invoice for our processing fee.

  5. The date by which you need to complete the approvals process.

Please refer to the “Citation” section below for details of how to cite or reference our content in your publication.

Note that we require a minimum of four weeks to process requests to use our content in paid publications, so please ensure you contact us as early as possible to ensure you can secure the necessary approvals in time for your publication deadline.

Citation

If you’d like to reference our reports in books, academic, scientific, or research papers, we recommend the following citation style. Note that you’ll need to replace the sections contained between < > with the relevant details for each report you’d like to cite:

<Report Sponsors> (<report year>), “<Report Title>”, retrieved from <report page URL> on <date retrieved>

You can find details of each report’s sponsors on page 2 of the relevant report.

For example, if you’d like to cite our Digital 2023 Global Digital Overview report, we recommend the following citation:

We Are Social & Meltwater (2023), “Digital 2023 Global Overview Report,” retrieved from
https://datareportal.com/reports/digital-2023-global-overview-report on 01 June 2023.

Similarly, if you’d like to cite one of our country reports, here’s an example using our Digital 2023 Indonesia report:

We Are Social & Meltwater (2023), “Digital 2023 Indonesia,” retrieved from https://datareportal.com/reports/digital-2023-indonesia on 01 June 2023.

Please note that we’re unable to provide citation support for each specific context, so if you have any doubts, please ask your academic institution or your publisher for guidance on the most appropriate citation style for your needs.
