Digital Around the World

More than 4.4 billion people around the world now use the internet – well over half of the world’s total population – and almost 1 million new users join the online community every single day.

Most internet users go online using mobile devices, but roughly one in five of the world’s 5 billion mobile phone users still doesn’t have access to the internet.

Roughly 80 percent of the world’s internet users use social media each month, and six social media platforms now claim to have more than 1 billion monthly active users.
